2nd Annual Chattanooga Autism Awareness Walk - Saturday, November 8th, 10:00am
Raising awareness in Chattanooga, North Georgia, and East Tennessee
|Are you an advocate for Autism Awareness? Do you want more people to know more about Autism? Do you want to stand together and show your support for the Autism Community? Do you want to help raise funds for autism programs built by parents, advocates, and adults with autism in our region? |
Yes? Then REGISTER TODAY!
There will be games for kids prior to the walk (lots more than last year) and snacks and water after the walk. We’ll do shout outs to teams and connect as a community. Plus, Jason’s Deli is a sponsor this year so our snacks will be yummy and healthy.
The 2-mile walk starts 10:00am at Coolidge Park and heads over the pedestrian bridge. We’ll have dozens of banners showing different autism facts hanging on the bridge for all to read. People will learn about what autism is, prevalence rates, and positive aspects about Autism while also dispelling myths. Walkers will also learn how families appreciate that their community better understands autism and what they are going through.
This walk also allows people and businesses in our region to demonstrate their support for individuals with autism and their families. We intend this to become the largest autism awareness walk in our region and for it to show how a community can come together and be a shining example for others.
We especially invite people or businesses to register and create a TEAM and encourage their friends and family to register and JOIN A TEAM. Those who cannot attend the walk can register and join a team as a SUPPORTER or can DONATE to a team.
We’ll have more prizes to give-away this year too! Team captains with the most members, most money raised, and other categories will win! We’ll also have prizes for individuals who raise the most donations and a prize for the most hard-working volunteer.
The sooner you register, the bigger your team or this walk can grow!
